S01 E15: Divide and Ruling in Wales Si returns from a week’s holiday in Tunisia to find out that The Fall are recording an album in Wales without him. Mark E Smith had ordered a drummer to ‘fill in’ on the drum throne! In his absence and much to Si’s dismay, Karl Burns was invited during the recording of The Middle Class Revolt album. Dismayed and shocked, Simon Wolstencroft immediately dashes to Wales from Manchester airport, to find the residential studio where the band have been ensconced during his absence. After nine years in The Fall, how did Si feel about this development? Is this the beginning of the end of Si’s tenure in the band? Divide and Rule?
