The Puss in Boots underwent a major refurb in December 2010 when local brewery Robinsons invested heavily in them and what a transformation; the décor has been tastefully made over from seventies disco to gastro chic.
As well as the miraculous change in décor the Puss in Boots has reinvented the carvery, no more do tired, over cooked meats sweat away on a hotplate. Everyday six locally sourced meats cooked to perfection sit proudly ready to be devoured, and with the restaurant packed every day that doesn’t take long.
The Puss in Boots offers excellent value for money as for just £6.95 you have a choice of three different meats, a massive Yorkshire pud and all the trimmings. But if carveries aren’t your thing the chef Wayne, who trained at Piccolino’s in central Manchester has several Italian dishes which are often included on the on the specials board to tempt you.
Owned by Robinsons the puss in boots is run by the Almond family, they own the tenancy for four pubs in the local area and are focused to create family friendly local pubs serving great quality food. And this is definitely the case here, as they have managed to create a tastefully decorated child friendly pub, offering excellent value for money. The Pocket team would definitely recommend a visit.
